I'm supposed to be on holiday, except I wake up at 7, work all day (or try to-- at least I do all the chores around the house) while balancing a life of joy and glee with a new, one-eyed kitten, that I met when my cat (the delicious Texan Tabby) fell from the 4th floor and broke her jaw (one of the worst experiences of my life). Now I have two slightly odd cats. My old friend is doing great, although she lost number of teeth and has a metal plate in her chin now, and the one-eyed cat is--well, one-eyed. The past week and a half (and it's still ongoing), I've been sick as a dog. That meant I stayed home, didn't work, paint, do shit, and stayed in bed, watching TV. Of course, my choice dwindled between Animal Planet (but the Animal Cops upset me, with their poor dying cats and distressed dogs), TLC (only to watch some horrendous shows that I couldn't find, with their exploitation themes "but actually, we want to do these fre...people good by showing them on TV" so I switched to something else), Adult Swim at night (yay !) and Logo. Part of the new year process is to keep up with a myriad of things to do: -Write new year's wishes and try not to write "Happy Birthday" instead. -Keep track of the people you see for the first time, greet them (and still, not forget the right formula). -Make wishes, take resolutions and generally, hoping this year is going to be good.
